The Mind Readers

First published by Chatto & Windus 1965

Cover Synopsis

Why should the greatest discovery of the twentieth century have been entrusted to schoolboys?

When rumours of a mind-reading device first came out in Godley's research station, known to the uninitiated as Boffin Island, Albert Campion found it difficult to take them seriously. Especially as the secret seemed to rest exclusively with two small boys, who were irritatingly stubborn about disclosing their sources. So much so that they were soon on the run, pursued by scientists, policemen - an Lord Ludor, the wickedest man in British industry.

Altogether the problem was one of the most baffling of Campion's career. And, when the killings started, one of the most frightening.
