Where have I been? Work has kept me away from the site, a new job tends to do that (okay that excuse only works for the last six months). The blog has become a bit of a passion with more regular updates there than here. It is www.BardsWorld.com if you feel the urge to take a look at what has been happening to me, or going on in my head. I won't promise regular updates, but there are several things I want to do around here and I'll get to them eventually! So do keep popping back, and have a cup of tea while you wait...
Well, if you can read this, I have successfully transferred Mystery Mile to a new hosting service. Hopefully life will continue without any pause in service. Your humble webmaster aims to please.
My goodness, what happened there. One minute it is August, and I'm enjoying the Virginian sunshine, then in a flurry of Halloween, Bonfire Night, Thanksgiving, Office Parties, Festive Frollics, and New Years Debauchery, we end up in mid February of 2006. So the plan now has got to be to start rereading the books, and get some more creative and critical content published up here for you the dear reader.
Before I forget, if you happen to be interested in where my mind wanders on a daily basis, or wonder why I've not updated the site recently, check out my blog "Bard's World" and find out where else my head may have been!
So after maintaining the site for two years (and various others for longer) with Evrsoft 1st Page 2000, it looks like it is time to use a new site maintenance tool. So this latest update has been brought to you via Nvu so if things get a little weird, we'll call it a learning curve.
Who said updates don't come to those who wait.
Unsteady and slow describes the growth of this website, but an update
is long overdue, and so here one is. The bibliography has grown again
to include even more titles and descriptions. A few other bits and
pieces have been polished, but you'd have to know the site really well
to spot them.
The Return of the Wandering Webmaster.
Currently we are trying to make this page as browser friendly as
possible, and are aiming for full XHTML 1.0 compatibility. If you want
to learn more about the web than you ever thought possible try visiting
the World
Wide Web Consortium.
A chance to wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all.
The site continues to grow and we've lots planned for 2004.
With Christmas around the corner I couldn't resist getting one present early, and now own the first season on DVD. A Margery Allingham forum has been generously hosted by Golden Age Mystery Forum, feel free to drop by and make a post.
It isn't the end of regular updates... Work may be drawing me away from the site for now, but the reading and plotting continues. Keep checking back for updates!
Have bought a copy of Ink in her Blood - The life & crime fiction of Margery Allingham, by Richard Martin, from www.AbeBooks.com, so you can expect more detail in the biography section soon!
Found the opening credits to both the first and second series on the BBC Cult TV website.
The links page contains new information on linking to the site.
New look and feel, and pages at the end of every link.
A brief Allingham biography, and the bibliography of her works have now been uploaded.
www.AlbertCampion.com launches on the world wide web.
